Our annual Christmas Gala will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the luxurious and elegant Blackstone’s at Indian Pond in Kingston!! As always, we will begin our holiday festivities with our renowned social hour beginning at 5:30pm, which will include passed hors d’oerves. A gourmet and sumptuous buffet meal will be served at 7:00pm(ish). And for everyone who eats all their vegetables, Santa will be bringing coffee and dessert!! All this holiday cheer can be reserved for the mere cost of $75 per person (even Scrooge wouldn’t turn his nose up at that!!)!! The PDBA is once again looking for a few extra elves to be Open Bar Sponsors, so if you’d like to add to the festivity of the occasion, please contact the PDBA at plymouthdistrictbar@yahoo.com.
As always, guests, friends, spouses, significant (and insignificant) others and camp followers are invited. Just as a reminder, the PDBA does accept Venmo @plymouthdistrictbarassociation.
Christmas time is also award time!! The PDBA is pleased to announce that this year we will be celebrating the Honorable Julie Bernard as the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Frank Powers Award. Judge Bernard sat for many years as the presiding justice at the Brockton District court and has most recently been sitting as a judge at the Plymouth District court, where she has dispensed justice and fairness in a compassionate and considerate manner. Additionally, we are honored to announce that Mary Looney of the Plymouth Probate & Family Court has been chosen as the 2024 recipient of the much-coveted Leo Foley Award. Mary has served for many years as an assistant judicial case manager where she has been instrumental in scheduling and resolving innumerable difficult family law cases, all while maintaining a highly positive and cheerful outlook.
In addition to all of the foregoing, the PDBA will be once again holding its much-anticipated Ugly Sweater/Outrageous Tie contest!! So get up to the attic, shake out the moth balls and find your most garish holiday attire!! As always, we anticipate that our very own Mistletoe Maestro, John Barr, will be at the keys, ringing in the season with traditional and festive Christmas music.
CANCELLATION POLICY: All members, guests, etc. are reminded of our utterly reasonable cancellation policy which states that if you make a reservation for one of our fabulous meetings and the vicissitudes of life cause you to cancel less than 48 hours prior to said meeting, and the PDBA is charged for your meal we reserve the right to ask you to spin up the locks and release the moths from your wallets and bring yourselves flush with the PDBA/AOBA.
